【摘要】:Itisimportanttoknowtheamountofweightanditslocationbeforetheshipisbuilttobesurethatwhenitisbuiltitwillhavepositivestability.Onlythroughdetailedweightestimatinginthedesignstageandduringconstructioncanonebeensuredthatpositivestabilitywillbeachievedandretained.1.1Thisguideprovidesrecommendedweightcontroltechnicalrequirementsforsurfaceshipsanddiscussesdifferenttypesofweightestimates,reports,andweightcontrolprocedures.Itcontainsaweightclassificationthatwillassistinachievinguniformitybystandardizingtheweight-reportingsystem.1.2Thisguideisapplicabletoshipsdesignedandconstructedininch-poundunitsofmeasurementandtoshipsdesignedandconstructedinSIunitsofmeasurement.Wheneverinch-poundunitsareshownorreferredtointhetext,orinexampleformatsincludedinthisguide,itistobeunderstoodthatcorrespondingSIunitsmaybesubstitutedifapplicabletoashipdesignedandconstructedinSIunits,providedthatwhicheversystemisused,itisconsistentlyusedinallweightcontrolreportingdocumentationfortheship.
