【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsareintendedtoprovidetheuserwithdataonproductshockfragilitythatcanbeusedinchoosingoptimum-cushioningmaterialsforshippingcontainersorforproductdesignmodification.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverdeterminationoftheshockfragilityofproducts.Thisfragilityinformationmaybeusedindesigningshippingcontainersfortransportingtheproducts.Itmayalsobeusedtoimproveproductruggedness.Unitorconsumerpackages,whicharetransportedwithinanoutercontainer,areconsideredtobetheproductforthepurposesofthesetestmethods.Twotestmethodsareoutlined,asfollows:1.1.1TestMethodAisusedfirst,todeterminetheproduct''scriticalvelocitychange.1.1.2TestMethodBisusedsecond,todeterminetheproduct''scriticalacceleration.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection6.
