【摘要】:ThisstandardaddressestheconstructionanduseoftestsuitesforverifyingconformanceofSGMLsystems.Itsprovisionsassistthosewhobuildtestsuites,thosewhobuildSGMLsystemstobeeval-uatedbysuchsuites,andthosewhoexamineanSGMLsystem'sperformanceonatestsuiteaspartoftheprocessofselectinganSGMLtool.Inparticular,thisstandardincludes:-criteriafortheorganizationoftestsuites,includingnamingconventions,documentationconventions,andspecificationofapplicablecon-cretesyntaxesandfeatures.Amongotheradvantages,theseconventionsfacilitateanynon-SGMLautomaticprocessingthatmaybeconvenientforthedevelopersortheusersofthetests;NOTE-Anexampleofsuchnon-SGMLprocessingissortingtestsbyname.-astandardformfordescribingtestresultsthatmakesclearwhathasbeenprovenordis-provenbythetests;-thespecificationofaReferenceApplicationforSGMLTesting(RAST)thatinterpretsallmarkuptoallowmachinecomparisonoftestresultsfordocumentsconformingtoISO8879.RASTindicatesinastandardwaywhentags,processinginstructions,anddataarerecognizedbytheparser,replacingreferencesandprocess-ingmarkupdeclarationsandmarkedsectionsappropriately.RASTtestsinformationlikelytobepassedbyageneral-purposeSGMLparsertoanapplicationbutdoesnottestadditionalinforma-tionthatsomeparsersprovide;-thespecificationofaReferenceApplicationforCapacityTesting(RACT)thatreportsavali-datingparser'scapacitycalculations.AnSGMLsystemthatsupportsthisapplicationindicatesitsabilitytoreportcapacityerrorsregardlessofwhetheritsupportsvariantcapacitysets;-thespecificationoftestproceduresrelatedtoSDIFdatastreams.ThisstandardappliestothetestingonlyofaspectsofSGMLimplementationandusageforwhichobjectiveconformancecriteriaaredefinedinISO8879.NOTE-AmongtheaspectsofanSGMLsystemnotaddressedbythisstandardareerrorrecovery,phras-ingoferrormessages,applicationresults,anddocumentation(includingthesystemdeclaration).
